LOS ANGELES, Calif. ⏤ July 31, 2019 ⏤ Forelinx, the premier all-in-one golf membership is proud to announce the addition of the two golf courses at The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort to the Forelinx Network. This includes the daily-fee gem that is Reflection Bay Golf Club as well as the private South Shore Country Club.

Both Jack Nicklaus designs opened to critical acclaim in the 1990s. South Shore was Jack’s first private signature design in the state of Nevada and finished among the top ten in Golf Digest’s Best New Private voting in 1996. Reflection Bay Golf Club opened a few years later to similar accolades—also finishing among the top 10 in Golf Digest’s Best New Daily-Fee voting in 1999. In the time since, both courses have continued to maintain their strong reputations against their Nevada competitors. South Shore sits comfortably among the top five in Golf Digest’s Best in State rankings while Reflection Bay is constantly included among the top ten on GolfWeek’s Best Courses You Can Play in Nevada list.

Perhaps the greatest strength of South Shore Country Club is its diverse set of one-shot holes. The crop of five par-threes opens at the fourth with possibly the most dangerous and dramatic of the bunch — a carry of nearly 200 yards across a pond to a perpendicular green that angles slightly left-to-right away from the player. Almost anything short is guaranteed to find the water and safe plays over the back of the green leaving a frightening downhill chip back towards the pond.

The fourteenth at South Shore CC is equally as beautiful and dangerous as it plays across another pond to a long green that narrows considerably the further you get from the water’s edge. The front hole locations appear most dangerous thanks to their proximity to the water but the toughest pins to access may be those perched atop the back shelf tucked between two deep bunkers.

Reflection Bay plays towards and away from Lake Las Vegas with its strongest two holes coming at the finish beside the water’s edge. The par-three seventeenth is vintage Jack — with a peninsula tee box that pokes out into the lake and a classic Nicklaus greensite that fades left-to-right into Lake Las Vegas. The player sees nothing but water from the tee and only the truly heroic will walk off the penultimate hole with a birdie two.

The closing hole also rewards the heroic as the reachable par-five tempts the player from both the tee and the fairway. The entire length of the hole hugs Lake Las Vegas to the right and a crop of fairway bunkers requires the player to choose among a multitude of options from the tee. The safest players can lay back from the bunkers entirely while the more aggressive player can select the shorter avenue up the right side of the bunkers near the water to have the shortest approach into the well-fortified green.

Both courses are now available to Forelinx members upon request and packages that combine the two facilities with a hotel stay at the Westin Lake Las Vegas are available as well.
